Criminal Cryptanalysis

The primary goal of this course is to enhance cooperation and collaboration between cryptanalysts in the FBI and other federal, state, and local law enforcement and correctional agencies. This in-service is designed to teach fundamentals in the analysis and exploitation of manually encrypted clandestine communications from street and prison gangs through case studies, round-table discussions, presentations, and practical exercises. Students will be introduced to new cryptanalysis capabilities of the Laboratory Division.
