FBI Laboratory Specialized Training Program

Crime Scene Survey, Documentation, and Reconstruction

Course dates to be announced

This one week course is meant for police investigators, evidence technicians, and/or crime laboratory personnel responsible for documenting crime scenes. This course covers basic crime scene survey and diagraming techniques. Instruction in diagraming methodology, reading scales, and producing scale drawings/finished drawings will be presented. Information on courtroom presentations will be provided. Students will participate in practical exercises at Hogan's Alley where they will be given the opportunity to practice surveying, documenting, and diagraming mock crime scenes.
